Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Registered business name] for the use of Yoco Kitchen. By creating an account you accept them.

The service

Yoco Kitchen shows orders from your Yoco account, and orders you enter, on your kitchen and counter screens. It depends on Yoco's API, the internet and your devices. We work hard to keep it running but can't promise it will never be interrupted, so keep a fallback (like the Yoco receipt) for busy services.

Trial and payment

• Your first store gets a 7-day free trial. No card is needed. There is one free trial per business: a store connected to a Yoco account that has already had a trial starts without one.
• After that, each month costs R89, or R149 if your store averaged more than 60 orders per trading day over the previous 30 days.
• When you subscribe, your card is saved with PayFast and charged each month in advance, at the price your usage calls for, until you cancel on the Billing page.
• If a payment is late, the service keeps working for 3 days, then pauses until you pay. Your data is kept.
• Payments are non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise. We'll give 30 days' notice of any price change.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your devices and Yoco API key secure, and remove devices you no longer use.
• Only use the service for your own business and within the law, including POPIA.
• Your use of Yoco stays subject to Yoco's own terms.

Ending

You can stop at any time by cancelling on the Billing page, or delete your store in Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or don't pay, and we'll give notice if we ever shut the service down.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we're not liable for lost sales or indirect losses. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
