Questions
Do I need special hardware?+
No. Any tablet, laptop or old phone with a modern browser works as the kitchen screen. Mount it where the cooks can see it and plug it in.
Does it replace my Yoco machine?+
No. Keep taking payments on Yoco. We read the orders from your Yoco account and show them in the kitchen. There's also a simple order screen for orders you want to send without Yoco.
How do you pick R89 or R149?+
It's based on how busy you are. If your average over the last 30 days is 60 orders or fewer per trading day, you pay R89 for the month. Above that, R149. The price is worked out each time you pay, so a quiet month costs less.
How does paying work?+
You subscribe once on PayFast's secure payment page and your card is charged each month after that, at R89 or R149 depending on how busy the month was. If a charge fails there's a 3-day grace period, so the kitchen never stops in the middle of service.
What happens after the free trial?+
No card is needed for the trial, and nothing is charged until you subscribe. If you subscribe during the trial, your first paid month starts when the trial ends. If you don't subscribe, the screens pause after the grace period and your data is kept for when you come back.
Is my Yoco key safe?+
Your key is encrypted before it's stored, and it only needs read access to orders and items, so it can't move money.
Can I cancel?+
Yes. There's no contract: cancel on the Billing page and you won't be charged again. Your paid month still runs to its end. You can export or delete all your data from Settings at any time.
